Controlling who can see your website is essential during the building phase or when creating private, member-only communities. You are able to toggle between several access modes depending on your current needs.
To manage your site's visibility, use the updated dashboard flow:
Go to your website Dashboard.
Click the Settings button.
Locate Access to the website and click the Edit button.
Public (Default) – Your website is live and searchable by anyone on the internet.
Password – The site is hidden behind a password screen. This is ideal for sharing a "work in progress" with specific stakeholders or clients.
Under Construction – The site content is completely hidden from visitors. Use this to prevent users from seeing an unfinished or broken layout while you make major updates.
Members Only – Visitors must sign up for an account to view any content. This is a great way to build a community and collect visitor emails.
Confirmed Members Only – Similar to "Members Only," but you must manually approve each registration before they can access the site. This ensures a fully closed, private environment.
For every restricted mode (Password, Under Construction, or Members Only), you can activate Custom Content to personalize what visitors see:
Visuals & Text – Set a custom Title, Message, and Background Image.
Call to Action – For password-protected sites, you can even customize the text on the access button.
Member Forms – For member-based access, you can enable Extra Member Details to create custom registration forms and Custom Messages to provide instructions after a user signs up.
SEO Impact – Setting your site to "Under Construction" or "Password" protected prevents search engines from indexing the content, which is helpful if you aren't ready for your site to appear in search results yet.
Community Management – "Confirmed Members Only" gives you the highest level of security for exclusive content, as you have total control over the user list.
Temporary vs. Permanent – You can switch back to "Public" at any time with a single click once your updates are complete.
