Step-by-Step Connection Guide: How do I point my 1&1 (IONOS) domain to my website?

You’ll update two DNS records in your 1&1 domain panel: the A record and the CNAME record.

1. Log in to your 1and1 account.
2. Go to Administration > Domains.
3. Find the domain you want to connect, click the downward-pointing arrow, then choose Edit DNS Settings.
4. Set the A record: choose Other IP address, enter 166.117.120.15 in the IP address field, and click Save.
5. Create the www subdomain: click New > Create Subdomain, enter www, then click OK.
6. Set the CNAME: check the box next to the www subdomain, open the DNS menu > Edit DNS Settings, select CNAME, enter global.loadweb.com in the Alias field, then click OK.
