Manage Steps in the Custom Form Builder Page

This article explains how to add and delete steps inside the Custom Form Builder, allowing you to create multi-step forms or tidy up existing ones. Follow the instructions below to learn how to log in, open the Form Builder, insert form fields, and remove a step you no longer need.

Step by Step Guide:

1. Sign in to your SITE123 account

   • Open the manager URL (e.g., https://app.site123.com/manager/login).
   • Enter your username and password, then click Login.

2. Open the website you want to edit

   • After login you will land on the Dashboard / Website Wizard screen.

3. Go to the Custom Form Builder page

   • In the left panel, click the Pages tab.
   • Locate the page that uses the Custom Form Builder module and click it. The page will load in an editor iframe.

4. Add a new step to the form

   • Inside the iframe, click Add New Step.
   • A blank step (Step 2) is created.

5. Insert fields into the new step

   • Drag or click the Text field. It will appear in the step.
   • Drag or click the Email field. It will appear below the Text field.

6. Create another step (optional)

   • Click Add New Step again to create Step 3.
   • Add the same or different fields (for example, Text and Email) as needed.

7. Remove an unwanted step

   • While inside the step you wish to delete, click Remove Step.
   • In the confirmation pop-up, click Yes to permanently delete the step.

8. Save or publish your changes

   • Once finished, click Save in the top-right corner of the editor, and publish if you want the form live on your site.
