After creating your website with AI Builder, you can continue editing and customizing it to match your needs.
You can change the content, design, images, layout, and other parts of the website using the AI chat, visual editing tools, direct editing options, preview modes, version restore, and data management tools.
The AI chat allows you to request almost any change you want to make to your website.
You can use the chat to ask the AI to update different parts of your site, such as:
Changing text
Replacing images
Updating colors
Changing fonts
Adding new content
Removing existing content
Changing the structure or layout of a section
Improving the wording or design
Creating new sections or adjusting existing ones
For example, you can ask:
“Change the homepage headline to sound more professional.”
“Replace the hero image with an image that fits a locksmith business.”
“Add a new section for customer reviews.”
“Change the website colors to a darker and more modern style.”
The clearer your request is, the better the AI can understand what you want to change.
At the bottom of the chat, you may also see suggested prompts and recommendations. These suggestions can help you decide what to ask the AI and give you ideas for improving your website.
You can attach images, PDFs, and other files directly to your chat message to give the AI more context when making changes.
This is useful when you want to:
To attach a file, click the + (plus) icon at the bottom of the chat panel, then click Upload before sending your message.
After attaching the file, type your instruction and send the message so the AI knows what to do with it.
In addition to using the general AI chat, you can edit specific areas of your website using Visual Edit.
When you click Visual Edit, you can select specific sections or elements directly on the website preview.
After selecting an area, a window will open with editing options for that specific part of the site.
This allows you to focus your changes on one section instead of editing the entire website.
After selecting a specific area with Visual Edit, you can ask the AI to change only that selected part.
For example, you can ask the AI to:
Replace an image
Rewrite a specific text
Add more details to a section
Remove content from the selected area
Change the structure of the selected section
Improve the design of that specific part
For example:
“Replace this image with one that looks more professional.”
“Rewrite this paragraph in a friendlier tone.”
“Remove this section from the page.”
“Add a call-to-action button here.”
AI editing is always available, so you can use it whenever you want to make changes to a selected area.
Some areas also include a Direct Edit option.
Direct Edit allows you to manually edit the selected content yourself, without asking the AI to rewrite or change it for you.
You can use Direct Edit when you want to make precise manual changes, such as editing a specific sentence, title, button text, or other available content fields.
Please note that Direct Edit is not available for every tool or element.
However, editing with AI is always available, so you can still request changes through the AI even when Direct Edit is not supported for a specific area.
At the top of the editor, you can use the preview options to see how your website looks on different screen sizes.
You can switch between:
Desktop
Tablet
Mobile
This helps you check how your website appears to visitors using different devices.
It is recommended to review your website in all preview modes before publishing, especially after making design or layout changes.
Your changes are saved automatically while you work on the website.
However, these changes will only become available online to your visitors after you click Publish.
When you are ready to make your latest changes live, click the Publish button at the top of the editor.
This updates the published version of your website so visitors can see the most recent changes.
Next to the Publish button, you will find the Restore option.
The Restore tool allows you to view recent versions of your website and easily switch between them.
This is useful if you made changes and want to return to an earlier version of the website.
You can review the available versions and restore the one you want to use.
At the top of the editor, you will also find the Manage Data button.
Some types of website content, such as items displayed on a page, can be managed from this area.
For example, if a section includes repeatable items, services, listings, or structured content, you may be able to manage those items through Manage Data instead of editing each item directly on the page.
This makes it easier to update organized content in one central place.
Your AI-generated website can include several pages, such as a homepage, an about page, a pricing page, and more. You can switch between them at any time using the page selector in the top toolbar.
To switch between pages, click the page dropdown in the top toolbar. It shows the name of the currently selected page. Click the name of the page you want to view or edit and the live preview will update immediately to show that page.
When you send a request in the AI chat, the AI applies changes to whichever page is currently shown in the preview. If you want to edit a specific page, make sure to select it from the dropdown first before sending your request.
