tawk.to is a powerful, free messaging app that lets you monitor and chat with visitors in real-time, manage support tickets, and build a dedicated help center. It’s an essential tool for providing immediate customer support and gathering valuable user insights.
To connect the service, you need to retrieve your unique identifiers from your tawk.to dashboard.
Log in to your tawk.to account (or create one at tawk.to).
Click the Administration (gear icon) in the sidebar menu.
Under the Overview section, locate and copy the Property ID.
Next, click on Channels and select Chat Widget.
Locate the Widget ID (found under the Widget Status or within the Direct Chat Link).
Once you have your IDs, follow these steps to activate the chat widget on your site:
In your Website Editor, click the Settings (gear icon) and select Plugins.
Click the Add New button and select Add New Plugin.
Type tawk.to in the search bar and click the Add button.
In the Application ID field, enter your IDs.
Note: Depending on your version, you may need to paste the code snippet or just the specific IDs provided by tawk.to.
Set the Enable toggle to Yes.
Click Save.
To make the chat widget visible to your website visitors, you must apply the update:
Click the Publish button in the top corner of your editor.
