Fonts play a crucial role in establishing your website's personality and ensuring readability. You can customize every aspect of your typography, from the website name and logo to the specific font used in your page headers and body text.
To begin editing your fonts, follow these steps:
In the Website Editor, click Design and select Fonts from the drop-down menu.
Scroll through the available fonts on the side menu and click to choose your preferred style.
Use the Search Bar to locate a specific font
Use the Filter Button (Sliders icon) to focus the list of available fonts based on font style, like Bold, Minimal, Elegant, and more
Use the Favourite Button (Heart button) to view a list of your favourite fonts, hover your mouse cursor over a font in the font list, and use the Star option to favourite it.
Click More next to the font in the fonts list to see different variations of the fons such as Bold, Thin, Regular, and more. Note that this is only available for supported fonts.
For more advanced options, click the Custom button at the top of the side menu.
You can target different areas of your site to ensure a balanced and professional look:
Website Name and Logo Font - Set a font for your website name and logo
Top Menu Font - Select unique fonts specifically for your main navigation menu.
Header Fonts - Specify the font for the titles of your pages to make them stand out and inviting
Content Fonts - Choose distinct fonts for your content to ensure ease of reading.
Further adjust the selected font or custom font options' appearance and typography Size
To edit the selected font, go to the font menu, and the selected font will be presented at the top of the font side menu. Click the Gear icon and adjust the following options using the relevant slider:
Edit the website typography size by clicking the Gear Icon next to the selected font at the top of the font menu. Choose between Tiny, Small, Normal (Recommended), Big, and Huge.
You can also use legacy sizes such as Small legacy, Normal legacy, and Large legacy.
If you have a specific brand font, you can upload it directly to the editor:
Supported File Types - Your font files must be in .woff or .woff2 format.
File Size - Individual font files are limited to a maximum size of 5MB.
Personalize your brand's identity by selecting unique fonts for your homepage and promo page text, making them stand out and unique.
To edit the promo page and Homepage fonts, click on the page text and click the A button from the toolbar, choose the desired font from the font menu, and apply it to your text.
Consistency - Using a limited number of fonts (usually 2-3) across your site creates a more cohesive and professional design.
Readability - Ensure that your content font is easy to read on both desktop and mobile devices by checking the Typography size settings.
Branding - Custom fonts allow you to maintain strict brand guidelines by using your own licensed typography.
