The Cookie Consent tool allows you to display a notification banner informing visitors that your site uses cookies, ensuring you meet privacy compliance requirements.
To set up your cookie banner, follow the updated navigation flow from your website Dashboard:
Click Design in the top menu of the editor.
In the left sidebar, select Footer.
Tick the Enable Cookie Consent checkbox and click the Edit button that appears.
Once inside the Cookie Consent settings window, you can tailor the message and interaction:
Custom Labels:
Cookie Consent Text: Type the specific message you want visitors to see (e.g., "We use cookies to improve your experience").
Cookie Consent 'Dismiss' Button Text: Enter the label for the confirmation button (e.g., "Got it" or "Accept").
Country Specific Display: Toggle this option ON if you only want the banner to appear in specific regions, such as those affected by GDPR.
Under the General section, you can control how the banner looks and functions:
Position: Open the dropdown menu to choose where the banner appears: Top, Bottom, or Floating. This will allow you to reposition the Cookie Consent banner to your preferred location from the provided options.
Consent Requirement: Toggle the switch to determine if the user must consent to cookies before they can interact with the rest of your website.
Disallow Cookies: Enable the Disallow cookies option if you want to prevent non-essential cookies from being set until the visitor officially grants consent.
