This article explains how to turn on the Privacy Policy link in your website footer and edit the text that appears when visitors click it. The process is done entirely inside the SITE123 editor and takes only a few minutes.
Log in to the SITE123 editor
• Go to https://app.site123-staging.com and enter the email and password for your account.
• Click Login.
Open the site you would like to edit
• After login, the wizard loads automatically.
Navigate to the Design section
• In the top-left menu bar, click Design.
Open the Footer settings
• Inside the Design menu, choose Footer (the fourth tab in the horizontal list).
Enable the Privacy Policy link
• Scroll to the list of footer options.
• Locate Privacy Policy and tick the checkbox to display it in the footer.
Edit the Privacy Policy content
• Click the Edit button that appears next to the Privacy Policy option.
• A pop-up editor opens.
• Inside the editor:
– Edit the Title field if you wish to rename it (e.g. "Privacy & Cookies").
– Click in the large text box to add or change the policy content. You can format the text as needed.
• When finished, press Save.
Publish the changes
• Close the editor window and hit Save or Publish at the top-right corner of the main screen so the new footer link and text go live.
You have now added a Privacy Policy link to your site footer and customised its content. Visitors will see the link in the footer on every page, and clicking it opens the policy with the text you entered. Remember to publish whenever you make updates so changes appear on the live site.
