Adding a new language to your website allows you to reach a global audience and provide a localized experience for your visitors. You can manage your primary language or use the Languages Manager tool to handle multiple translations.
To manage your language settings, use the navigation flow within the Website Editor:
In the top menu bar, click Settings.
Select Website Languages from the dropdown menu.
To Change the Primary Language: Use the Language and Region dropdown on the side panel to select your desired primary language.
To Add New Languages: Click the Add/Edit Languages button to open the Languages Manager tool, then click Add New Language.
When adding a new language, you can set the following parameters within the manager:
Language and Region – Choose the target language for translation.
Flag – Select the flag icon that will appear in your website's language menu.
Displayed Language – Enter the name that will identify this language in the manager.
Enable/Disable – Toggle this to control whether the language is visible to visitors.
Automatic Translation – Once a language is added, the system automatically translates your content. This may take a few seconds depending on the volume of text.
Manual Editing – To refine the results, click Translate Manually. Edit the text, mark the Check as finished translate checkbox, and click Save.
500 Character Limit – Note that content exceeding 500 characters must be translated manually.
Translation Resets – If you make changes to the main website language, associated translations will be reset. It is highly recommended to keep a local backup of your translations.
You can give each language its own unique web address to improve local SEO:
Unique Domain – Click Edit to enter a separate domain you own (e.g., www.example.fr). In your Domain Panel, add a CNAME record pointing to global.loadweb.com.
Language Subdomain – You can create a subdomain using language initials (e.g., fr.example.com). This also requires a CNAME record pointing to global.loadweb.com in your DNS settings.
SEO Indexation – Every added language or subdomain is indexed separately by search engines, helping you rank better in specific regions.
Visibility Toggle – In the editor side panel, use the eye icon next to a language to quickly hide or show it on your live site.
