Google Search Console is a vital service that allows you to monitor your site's indexing status and optimize its overall visibility on Google. Submitting a sitemap helps Google discover and crawl your pages more efficiently.
Before heading to Google, you need to retrieve your unique sitemap URL from the editor:
In the Website Editor, click Pages.
Locate your Homepage, click the gear icon next to it, and select SEO.
Copy the website sitemap link provided in this section.
Go to Google Search Console and log in to your account.
Select Sitemaps from the side menu.
Paste your sitemap URL link into the submission field.
Click SUBMIT to finalize the process.
Verification – Ensure your website is already verified in Google Search Console before attempting to submit the sitemap.
Indexing Timeline – Once submitted, it may take several days or weeks for Google to fully crawl and index the pages listed in your sitemap.
